A Summer Day with the Glue Family

As if our organizing committee had somehow known the weather in advance, this year’s record heat took us to the boathouse of the Biel canoe club on Lake Biel. At these temperatures, activities around the lake were naturally in high demand: swimming, stand-up paddling, and water fights all got their fair share of attention. But things stayed lively inside the boathouse too: board games and retro video game consoles hooked up to original CRT monitors kept young and old alike entertained.

In the evening, the Pizzafuchs (pizza truck) stopped by — not for the first time, and certainly not for the last. Everyone got to roll out their own dough and top it however they liked, before the pizza was freshly baked in its mobile oven. There was also an apéro, cold drinks, as well as beer and wine.

Days like these are simply part of who we are at Glue. You don’t just meet colleagues in the office or on a Teams call — you also get to know them on a more personal side. And that’s exactly what makes the Family Event special, year after year.
