In a competitive process, Glue, in a bidding consortium with our long-term partner Orange Business Digital Switzerland AG, achieved top marks in the quality criteria. For our CEO Dr. Igor Metz, this is the result of a clear strategy:
"We see this award as confirmation of our philosophy: We build high-quality and sustainable systems. For federal systems with a long lifecycle, technological foresight is the most important currency. We look forward to continuing to take on this responsibility as a partner of the ISC-EJPD under this new framework agreement."
The mandate includes both classic JEE environments and modern Spring frameworks. David Vogel, Senior Software Engineer, emphasizes the strategic choice of Java:
"Java remains the backbone of enterprise IT. Especially in the public sector, the maturity and continuous innovation of the ecosystem are highly valued. Our focus is on established architectural approaches and the use of current tools to ensure the required top quality."
Our success in this tender process is based on our long-standing experience in the justice and police sectors. We have proven in the implementation and operation of such applications that we understand the specific requirements of the federal administration and can respond effectively to constantly evolving technical and functional demands. The Criminal Records Register and the UPReg Register of Public Officials are just two examples.
The framework agreement runs until 2033. This provides Glue with business continuity on one hand and the opportunity to shape Switzerland's e-government in the long term through excellent software engineering.
