In addition to the technical implementation of information security, the certification also assesses an organization’s risk management and its established security culture. The standard requires the certification to be renewed every three years (recertification). In addition, annual surveillance audits verify compliance with documented policies, the implementation of continuous improvement, and the effective practice of risk management.

On November 11 and 12, 2024, the 2024 surveillance audit was conducted by Swiss Safety Center AG in accordance with ISO 27001. fence IT AG successfully passed the annual audit without any findings or conditions.
